Mnemosyne Μνημοσύνη
Mnemosyne draws from the Greek river of memory in the Underworld, where remembrance exists beyond the boundary between life and death. The work considers memory as both a vessel and a landscape — holding fragments of experience, emotion, and identity.
The golden geometric form emerges as an emblem of resilience, a presence of strength within a fragmented world. Where wounds and fractures become evidence of endurance rather than signs of weakness.
Through folded surfaces encompassing a central sacred core, Mnemosyne explores how the inconceivable vs the memories and belief of events encroach on mental states and the perception of ones identity — In all perseverance and survival dominates. Fuelled by resilience as it shines forth beyond memory, beyond the grey limbo of the subconscious traversing forward despite adversity,
